Today’s reading: John 18:38

What is truth?

We read in John 18:38:

38 Pilate said to Him, โ€œWhat is truth?โ€

Pilate asked an important question during his interrogation with the Messiah. He just heard the truth from Yahshua and yet, Pilate wasnโ€™t convinced.

Today, a lot of people believe there are a lot of versions of the truth. Thereโ€™s no absolute truth. You have your truth. I have my truth. Your truth is as good as mine.

There are those people who have asked, โ€œWhat is truth?โ€ However, the same people donโ€™t want to know the truth or when they know the truth, they wonโ€™t accept it but rather simply ignore it.

Pilate had the golden opportunity to know the truth. In front of him stood the God in the flesh, who can reveal all the truth that he wanted to know.

Nevertheless, God chooses to reveal the truth to the babes, to the foolish and weak things of this world, and not to the kings, nobles, and powerful people.

It takes a lot of courage and humility to seek the truth and accept it.

The Word of God, the Scripture, is our ultimate source of truth. It tells us the truth about our purpose, our existence, and our destiny.

The problem is that not all are willing to look into the Book of books. Even those who read it donโ€™t automatically understand it.

Itโ€™s time that we appreciate the truth that was given to us. We must recognize how precious Godโ€™s truth is in a world where fake news and lies proliferate.

Keep the truth. Guard it and let it direct your steps as it will lead you to eternal life.

  1. Amen and again, Amen! The truth never transforms one who disrespects it. The humble man will be saved, because he was willing to hear. Job 22:29 Romans 10:17 James 4:6, 10, Peter 5:5 I enjoy your writings because they ALWAYS give honor to the Truth, which is the Word of God. John 17:17 I also love to write about my Lord and Savior and invite you to read my blog. mawsalad.com (men and women sharing agape love and devotion)

Blessings to you, friend Patty Graham
