How to love Yahshua
We read in John 14:15, 21, 23:
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments… He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me… If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word.
In the life you spent in this world, you probably have seen signages and messages that say, “I love Jesus.” It’s a popular slogan but it is probably the most abused as well.
A lot of people claim that they love Yahshua but they ignore His teachings, commandments, and examples. Obviously, if we truly love Yahshua, we will keep His commandments. It’s not possible to say “I love Yahshua but I will just do whatever seems to be convenient to me.”
That’s not how it works. It is either you love Yahshua and keep His commandments or you don’t love Him and disobey. In John 14, Yahshua emphasized multiple times the importance of obedience.
Love and obedience come hand in hand. You can’t have one and not the other.
Love is demonstrated by our obedience and obedience should be done with love.
