“It is no Longer I who Live, but Christ Lives in Me”

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and game Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

As baptized Christians, we must always keep in mind that we have already died in that watery grave and now have risen again as a new person. We must seek the will of God and not ours. We need to learn how to live according to God’s commandment. Pleasing God is our ultimate goal in this life.

Sadly, most people chase the wrong things in this life. They chase things that they thought will give them lasting happiness; however, they still have this void in their hearts. At the end of the day, they go to their beds wondering why they always end up feeling empty.

Thankfully, God has shown us how to live this life. It is only by reading the Bible and translating the spiritual lessons we learned in our lives that we can truly be happy. Genuine and lasting happiness will only be found by living according to God’s commandments.

Therefore, let us live this life not according to our will; not according to our selfish ambition and gain; and not according what seems right in our own eyes. Let us put to death our carnal ways and together, let us live a life that is truly pleasing to God.
