Today’s reading: Isaiah 49:14-16

God will not forget you

We read in Isaiah 49:14-16:

14 But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
  And my Lord has forgotten me.”

15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?

Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.

16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.

I have seen the enormous love of a mother for her children. The mother’s love, I believe, is among the strongest love in the world. It represents the pure devotion, care, and concern of a human being for another human being.

Yet, even the love of a mother is nothing compared to the love of Yahweh.

Under normal circumstances and even in extreme conditions, a mother will never forget her nursing child. There’s a deep bond between a mother and her child.

However, even if a mother forgets her child, God will never forget about us. He even inscribed us on the palms of His hands.

This means that we are always in God’s mind. God loves us and He always thinks of us.

Yet, because of problems, worries, and trials, we are tempted to think that God has forgotten us, that He is done with us, and that we are simply on our own now.

However, God was saying, everyone can forget you, but I will not forget you. If there’s only one Being who will never forget, it would be Him!

So, rest assured, be confident in this one thing: God loves you and He always remembers you.
