📅 How will you be remembered? – Daily Bible Reading

Today’s reading: Deuteronomy 34:5

How will you be remembered?

We read in Deuteronomy 34:5:

5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

At the end of Moses’ life, he wasn’t remembered as:

  • Moses the prince of Egypt
  • Moses the murderer
  • Moses the humble
  • Moses the prophet
  • Moses the leader of Israel

In Deuteronomy 34:5, he was called Moses the servant of Yahweh.

Sad that a lot of people would rather become a “servant of the people.” Some would rather be a servant to money, fame, and power.

However, at the end of it all, none of those matter.

What matters is that you made Yahweh your Master and you as His servant.

It is the greatest joy in life to be used as His instrument in advancing God’s work here on earth.

I hope by the time we leave our earthly life, the same can be said, “[Insert your name], the servant of Yahweh.”
