When was Jesus resurrected?
Why, of course, it’s Sunday! Almost everyone would give you this answer. After all, Easter Sunday is among the most popular Christian holidays today.
However, what if I tell you that Yahshua or popularly known as Jesus Christ, wasn’t resurrected on Sunday? What if I tell you that you have been deceived all along? What if the truth about Christ’s resurrection was hidden to billions of people professing to be Christians?
Hi, I’m Joshua Infantado of Becoming Christians. Today, let me share with you the reasons why Jesus could not have risen from the dead on Easter Sunday and when He was really resurrected.
So, stick around!
Traditionally, most Christians and churches believe that Jesus was buried just before Friday sunset and He was resurrected just before the sunrise of Sunday.
However, did you know that every time we say that Jesus was resurrected on Sunday, we are making our Savior a liar?
Yes, that’s correct.
The Easter Sunday story is a big lie. It never happened!
Now, before you dismiss me as a heretic and you close this video, please, hear me out first. If you’re really after the truth, you would listen to what I have to say and prove all things as what the Apostle Paul instructed.
Yahshua or Jesus, Himself, said how many days He will be entombed in the heart of the earth. We read in Matthew 12:40:
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Now, those are not my words. Those are the words of our Messiah.
How many nights and days do you get with the traditional view of Christ’s resurrection?
Let’s count:
Friday night would be the first night. Saturday daylight would be the first day. Saturday night would be the second night. That’s it!
The Easter story says that Christ was only entombed for a maximum of only 1 and a half-day. That’s far from the three days and three nights of Christ’s statement.
Now, this is a crucial topic to discuss. You know why?
Because if Christ lied, then He sinned. We won’t have a Savior. Not only that, but Matthew 12 also tells us that the only sign of Christ’s Messiahship would be being in the tomb for three days and three nights.
So, there’s a huge problem with the Good Friday and Easter Sunday timing.
It is either Christ lied or the Easter Sunday story is false.
Obviously, our Savior didn’t lie. When He said He will be in the tomb for three days and three nights, then He will be in the tomb for three days and three nights — no more, no less!

If Christ wasn’t resurrected on Sunday, then when?
Here’s the exciting part because you are about to know the truth billions of people don’t know.
When Christ was killed it was the preparation day. We read John 19:31:
Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
It was a preparation day, but preparation for what? It’s the preparation for the Sabbath. What most people didn’t know is that this Sabbath wasn’t the weekly Sabbath — the Sabbath that commences from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. It is actually an annual Sabbath, which is the first day of the Unleavened Bread.
Unlike the weekly Sabbath, the annual sabbaths may or may not fall on Saturday, but usually, they fall on other days of the week.
The next question now is, when is this first day of Unleavened Bread? One of the greatest prophecies of Daniel gives us the answer. Let’s read Daniel 9:26-27:
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
So, we read that Jesus Christ is going to end the ceremonial and ritualistic sacrifice in the middle of the week. What is the middle of the week? It’s Wednesday.
Now, we have the answer.
Christ was killed on a preparation day, which is Wednesday. Remember that a day starts at sunset according to God’s reckoning of time. This means that at sunset of Wednesday, it is already the first day of the Unleavened Bread.
So, Christ died on Wednesday at around 3 pm. Joseph of Arimathea then asked for Christ’s body and hurriedly buried Him just before sunset of Wednesday.
So, Wednesday night, Christ is already in the tomb. Counting three days and three nights, Jesus rose from the dead before Saturday sunset.
There you have it, friends — the answer to our question of the day.
When was Jesus Resurrected? He rose from the dead at the same time He was entombed — just before the sunset of Saturday.
From then on, the tomb has already been empty. It was only on Sunday morning, when it was still dark, that Christ’s female followers discovered that the tomb was empty. When they knew about it, many hours had already passed by.
In summary, Christ didn’t lie. When He said “three days and three nights”, He exactly meant 72 hours. He didn’t die on Good Friday and rose on Easter Sunday.
That’s not the real story.
The real story is He was killed on Wednesday, was entombed just before sunset of Wednesday, and stayed in the tombed until He was resurrected on the late afternoon of Saturday.
Thankfully, we can trust Yahshua’s own words and that His prophecy about His resurrection was fulfilled to the letter. He didn’t lie. He proved He is indeed the Messiah and the Savior of mankind by fulfilling His own prophecy.
