Dear friends and family,
I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a deep hope for help. My mama’s health has taken a sudden and difficult turn this year.
Back in April, she developed cellulitis from swelling in her feet, and the infection became so severe that she had to be hospitalized. We discovered that she also has skin cancer, causing a tumor on her back, which required surgery on August 30th.
Things became even more critical in October. On the 14th, she was rushed to the ICU, struggling to breathe. The swelling, which had started in her feet, had spread throughout her body and was pushing against her lungs, making it nearly impossible for her to breathe.
Our family gathered around her, fearing the worst as doctors mentioned that intubation might be necessary and that her organs were at risk.
By the grace of God, mama pulled through and was able to come home after two weeks in the hospital. But her fight is far from over.
Her condition, known as anasarca, is a severe and systemic form of edema that affects her feet, legs, arms, and belly. Her liver, kidneys, and heart are all struggling, and she now has an open wound on her hand from the swelling that burst her skin.
The treatments, medications, and hospital stays have left us with mounting medical bills that our family simply can’t cover alone. We’ve managed to get this far with the support of loved ones, but we need more help to continue providing the care she needs to survive and, hopefully, recover.
I know I’ve reached out for support in the past, and I wouldn’t ask again if we weren’t truly in need. I am humbly asking for any financial assistance you can offer. To express my gratitude, I’d like to give free access to all my online courses to anyone who donates. It’s a small gesture, but it’s the best I can give in return for your generosity.
No amount is too small, and every gift will make a difference. With each contribution, you’re helping to ease our family’s burden and offering my mama a chance to heal and gain strength. More than anything, you’re reminding us of the power of community and faith in times of need.
You can click this link to make a donation. And please, keep my mama in your prayers. She is only 56 and, with God’s mercy, I believe she has more years left to share with us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give, whether financial or spiritual.
With deep gratitude,
Joshua
