My Mother’s Cancer Treatment: Seeking Your Support

Dear Beloved Friends and Family,

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share an update about my dear mother, Remedios Infantado, and to ask for your support during a time of great need.

Last April, my mother faced a serious battle with cellulitis. Thanks to our Almighty Father’s grace and your generous prayers and support, she was able to recover. We were uplifted by the outpouring of love and assistance you provided, and we remain profoundly grateful.

However, our journey is not over. Alongside her previous illness, my mother has been struggling with a troubling tumor on her back. What began as a small, seemingly insignificant wound has grown into a significant concern. Despite consultations with multiple doctors who initially dismissed it as a fungal infection, the tumor continued to worsen.

Recently, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor, but sadly, it reappeared. We were advised to seek a biopsy, which revealed a distressing diagnosis: “poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.” This is an aggressive form of cancer, and the path ahead is daunting.

To make matters more challenging, my mother’s heart condition initially prevented her from receiving the necessary medical clearance for surgery. After a week of medication, we are relieved to have received the clearance, and her operation is now scheduled for August 29, 2024.

The financial burden of this surgery is overwhelming, and despite our best efforts, we find ourselves unable to cover these expenses on our own. With my ongoing struggle to secure stable employment, we are facing a daunting challenge.

I come to you with a humble request for financial support. Any amount you can contribute will be a tremendous help and will ease the financial strain on our family. Your support will directly impact my mother’s ability to receive the urgent care she needs.

More than anything, we ask for your prayers. Please pray for my mother’s strength and courage as she faces this battle. Pray that we have the wisdom to make the best decisions for her treatment and that Yahweh’s grace and provision will see us through this challenging time.
