A lot of Christians believe that tithing is obsolete and that they should not be made guilty of not giving 10 percent of their income to God. However, there are actually a lot of reasons for us to tithe. Let me just give you five reasons:

1. Tithing is commanded by God.
2. Tithing is a form of worship.
3. Tithing helps in preaching the Gospel.
4. Tithing develops godly character.
5. Tithing comes with great blessings.

We read God’s promise in Malachi 3:10:

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,

That there may be food in My house,

And try Me now in this,”

Says the Lord of hosts,

“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven

And pour out for you such blessing

That there will not be room enough to receive it.

God dares us to give tithes. God wants us to prove Him through tithing. Are you up for the challenge?
