Today’s reading: John 4:31-34

Spiritual food

We read in John 4:31-34:

31 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”

32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”

33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

What is your food?

Do you only eat physical food and forget about your spiritual food?

You see, Yahshua tells us that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

I wonder, do we seriously take Yahshua’s word?

You see, just like the physical food, if we don’t eat our spiritual food on a regular and daily basis, we will get weak. We get sick. Eventually, we die.

Yahshua’s food is doing the will of Yahweh. It is what kept Him going. It is what kept Him alive.

In the same manner, we must do our best to do the same.

If we wish to become spiritually healthy and strong, we must study the Word of God, meditate on His words, obey His commandments, and most importantly, do His will in our lives.

We do these things not just once in a while or when we have time.

We do them consistently.

We make it a habit. We make God part of our daily lives.
