Why Ships Sink

Did you know that ships sink not because of the water around them? They sink because of the water that gets inside of them.

Lesson?

There are a lot of things we can’t control. We can’t control the weather. We can’t control the traffic. We can’t control our bosses. We can’t control almost anything that is beyond ourselves.

However, we can control how things and people around us affect us.

The Bible tells us:

“A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls” (Proverbs 25:28).

Controlling yourself — how you think, talk, and act — would tremendously affect who you are and what you will do both now and in the future.

So, may your voyage in life be safe, wonderful, and memorable!
