321 Insights: The Shocking Ways Christians Misquote Jesus

Happy Thursday, everyone!

It’s time for another 321 Insights where I share three blogs, two lessons, and one Bible question.

Let’s get into it!

Three blogs

  1. 5 Compelling Reasons You Should Also Observe God’s Food Law
  2. 10 Shocking Ways Jesus is Misquoted by Christians
  3. How Much Do You Appreciate The Life And Death Of Jesus Christ?

Two Lessons

First lesson

Are you too busy making a living?

If yes, tell yourself:

“I work to live, not live to work.”

While working and being productive are both parts of our Christian life, we must not be too busy that we don’t have time to do other important things.

For example, if you’re too busy to pray, then your work is driving a wedge between you and God.

Remember the words of the wise king:

Do not overwork to be rich;
Because of your own understanding, cease!
Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.
(Proverbs 23:4-5)

Second lesson

We pray in faith, not in doubt.

While it is only human for us to doubt, we are commanded to overcome it to strengthen our faith. We dispel doubt by studying the word of God and knowing Him more.

Remember these words from James 1:6:

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

One Bible question

How is your prayer life?

Prayer is an important part of our life as followers of God. In fact, we can never call ourselves Christians if we don’t pray or we don’t give enough time for prayer.

If it is through reading the Bible that God talks to us, it is through prayer that we talk to God. It is through prayer that we become closer to our heavenly Father.

If you’re too busy to pray, it only means you don’t give enough importance in having time with the Almighty.

So, how’s your prayer life?

I hope it is on top of your to-do list that you always check every day.
