You might be asking for God’s forgiveness, but if you don’t do this one thing, God might not grant what you’re asking for. So, why would God not forgive you? Read this.

There is no sin that is big enough for God not to forgive. As long as you genuinely ask God’s forgiveness, have the pure intent to change your ways, and decide to follow God, He will forgive you.

However, do you know that even if you ask for forgiveness, but if you don’t do this one thing, you will not be forgiven?

Yes, that’s right.

This one thing can prevent you from being forgiven by our Heavenly Father. Now, I didn’t invent this requirement. It is written right there in your Bible, but a lot of people tend to just read through it.

So, why will God not forgive your sin?

You will read the answer in Matthew 6:14-15:

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Did you see that, my friends?

A lot of people are shocked to read this passage. It says that if you don’t forgive one another, the Almighty will also not forgive you.

Now, do you see how important it is for us to forgive one another? God is so concerned about the human relationships that He wants us to be forgiving to others.

But some of us will say,:

“I will never ever forgive that person for doing this to me.”

“I will never forget what he did?”

“What do you mean forgive you, I can’t forgive you.”

Well, my friends, if you have this kind of attitude, I’m afraid, you will be in danger of having sins that are not forgiven by God.

If you want to make sure that God will forgive you, make sure you forgive those who have hurt you.

Yes, it’s difficult to forgive, but that is what is expected from us Christians.

In Matthew 18:21, Peter asked Yahshua or Jesus Christ, “Lord, how often should I forgive my brother? Until seven times?

What was the response of Christ? He said, not up to seven times, but up to 70 times 7!

In other words, as long as our brother or sister asks us for forgiveness, we need to forgive them!

But how about those who don’t ask for forgiveness? Well, you need to forgive them even if they haven’t asked for it. You forgive them not for their own sake, but for your own good.

Life is so much better when you don’t carry hate and bitterness in your heart.

I know, sometimes, forgiveness is not that easy especially when the hurt is deep. But we must forgive one another because that’s one way for our sins to be forgiven by as well.

Thankfully, we can all come to the Father and surrender the hurt, anger, and bitterness in us and just let them go. When we do, we will have peace and not only that, God will also have our sins forgiven because we have also forgiven others.
