Which day is the Sabbath day?

According to the Bible, the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week, which points us to the weekly Saturday. However, majority of the modern Christianity is keeping Sunday as the day of their worship and rest. Sunday was so popularly referred to as the Sabbath that even if you ask someone which day of is the seventh day of the week; they will ignorantly answer “Sunday”!

So we know that there are discrepancy between what the Bible says and what the professing Christianity is observing.

So who lied? God or man?

What does the secular record say?

A quick look at any dictionary, encyclopedia, calendar, or any source will immediately tell you that the seventh day of the week is Saturday, while Sunday is the first week.

Some people say that time had been lost throughout the century. However, we know that the “oracles of God” had been given to the Jews to preserve the truth of God (Romans 3:1-2).

Denying Saturday as the seventh day will also require one to deny that Sunday is the first day of the week.

Proofs that Time has not been lost

So how can we be so sure that time was not lost through the millennia? Here are some proofs.

• God set the Sabbath day on the Genesis account.
• God pointed the Sabbath day to the Israelites when He fed them with manna and quail in the wilderness; thus, they have kept the right day during the week for 40 years and beyond.
• Jesus Christ observed the Sabbath day. Since Jesus is perfect, the day which He observed is definitely the Sabbath day. If not, then He should have corrected it and we that correction recorded in the Bible.
• God is God. Since He is God, I have faith that God will take care of His commandments and will see to it that we are keeping the right day.

No Mention of Sunday as the Sabbath

Even if you read Genesis from Revelation, you will never see Sunday sanctified as the new Sabbath day. The Catholic Church ADMITS that the Sabbath is on Saturday, but they keep Sunday because they believe that the church has now the power to make new rules and set of commandments.

This kind of thinking is a SATANIC DECEPTION. Anyone who thinks that they are better than God makes themselves a god of their own selves. Worshiping God will need us to look into the Holy Scripture and determine how God wants us to worship Him and not the other way around.

Which day will you keep?

The Bible tells you to keep Saturday as the day of rest and worship.

Human beings and tradition tell you to keep Sunday as the day of rest and worship.

The choice is yours. Which side will you be? God’s? or Man’s?
