As human beings, it is only natural for us to please others and gain their favor, be on good terms with them, and live a more peaceful life. However, the problem arises when you become more concerned with pleasing others rather than God.
Sometimes, we are too afraid of what others would think to the point we forget to ask, “What does God think?” As a result, we compromise and break God’s laws.
If your goal in life is to please others, you will ultimately fail because you can’t please everyone all the time and all at the same time. Thus, it’s a losing game you can never win.
Here’s my advice to you: seek to please God instead. Acts 5:29 tells us,
“We ought to obey God rather than men.”
