Starlink is currently the most advanced broadband satellite internet provider today. So, what’s the big deal about Starlink? After all, we already have the best type of international connection today, which is the fiber optic internet. So, why do we need a broadband satellite internet connection?

Well, it has something to do with availability. You see, fiber networks connect people through their cable wires buried in the ground. The problem is fiber networks can’t reach everyone. If you live in a remote area or a place where you can’t get a good signal, you won’t be able to get the Internet.

Now, this is where Starlink comes in. Starlink, through its more than 30,000 small satellites placed in low-Earth orbit, could deliver Internet connection even in the remotest area in the world!

How the Starlink will fulfill Bible prophecy

Now, let’s go to the most awaited part of our discussion: Starlink and Bible prophecy. The main role of Starlink along with other high-speed internet technology is communication. For certain bible prophecies to get fulfilled, you need high-speed internet communication, and Starlink can help in this regard.

While yes, we already have fiber internet, there are still a lot of people who can’t get an Internet connection due to their location. So, why is it important for people to get an Internet connection?

Preaching the Gospel with Starlink

Let me explain. We read in Matthew 24:3 how the disciples asked Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) about the signs of His coming. 

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

In the middle of Christ’s explanation, he included this one sign of His coming in verse 14:

¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

In Mark 16:15, Christ mentioned:

Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

When Jesus explained these things, His disciples could only preach the Gospel to a small number of people. They have to travel far and wide, which takes months and even years, just to reach various people. 

When the Bible was finally completed and compiled together, only a few people, especially the rich and religious leaders, could get a copy. With the advent of the printing press, more and more people have access to the Bible. This has even been magnified with the introduction of the telephone, radio, and television.

Yet, all these technological advancements are not enough to fulfill Christ’s commission. Remember the words of our Savior. He said to go into the world and preach the Gospel to every person.

But the Internet has changed everything. News can now travel in just a matter of minutes. People can now preach the Gospel and reach more and more people — people who might not have heard of the Gospel if it weren’t because of the Internet.

Of course, that is still not enough because our traditional internet connection has its limitations. With Starlink’s satellite broadband internet, the Gospel can now potentially be preached to all the world and to every person on earth!

Starlink and the Two Witnesses

Now, here’s another interesting thing about our discussion. Revelation 11 talks about the two witnesses of God who will give testimony of God’s power. They will preach to the people and once their work is done, they will be killed by those people who didn’t like their message.

Then, we read in Revelation 11:7-10 about what will happen:

⁷ When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. ⁸ And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. ⁹ Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. ¹⁰ And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. 

Now, this prophecy mentions that a great number of people on the earth will see the dead bodies of the two witnesses. It would be difficult to imagine millions or even billions of people will go to Jerusalem. Instead, these people would be watching through their smartphones, tablets, computers, and TVs! This is now possible with technological advancements, which include Starlink.

Indeed, Starlink will help fulfill Bible prophecy. If not, then, there would be other technologies that would dramatically improve instant communication, giving every person on earth the ability to witness events around the world, especially in Jerusalem.
