Do This Once and Watch Your Perspective Change!

I just want to share with you a post that I read on Facebook, and it goes like this:

“Someone is taking their last breath in a hospital bed today, and you’re frustrated sitting in traffic.
Someone is spending their first night alone after years of love, and you’re annoyed your partner left dishes in the sink.
Someone is burying their baby that they carried for 9 months, and you’re upset your child spilled milk on the couch.
Someone is burying their mom who gave birth to them, and you’re annoyed your mom called you twice this morning.
Someone is wishing for just one more conversation with their dad, and you’re rolling your eyes at his advice.
Perspective is everything. Appreciate the little things because one day, they’ll be the big things.”

When I read this, it really made me pause and reflect.

I want to make it clear — this post doesn’t invalidate your frustrations or the things that upset you.

We are human, and feeling annoyed, stressed, or tired is a natural emotional response.

However, we are not to become slaves of our emotions.

Instead of emotions controlling you, it should be us who should control our emotions. Moreover, if we can solve a problem, then let’s do it instead of complaining and grumbling.

But what this post beautifully reminds us of is perspective.

Even in the middle of our annoyances, heartbreaks, and inconveniences, there is always something to be thankful for.

Scripture tells us, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Not for everything — but in everything.

Even in traffic, even when dishes are left undone, even when life feels overwhelming, there are hidden blessings if we choose to see them.

The people we are frustrated with today might be the ones we miss the most tomorrow. The small moments that irritate us might become the memories we cherish. Life is fragile, and every breath we take is a gift from Yahweh.

Let’s not wait until it’s too late to appreciate the blessings around us.

Let’s open our eyes to the goodness that still exists, even when life feels messy and unfair.

And most importantly, let’s anchor our hearts in gratitude — not because everything is perfect, but because Yahweh is always good.

And I can assure you, that in every situation, in all situation, there will always, always, something to be thankful for.

I hope today’s reflection has inspired you to live a victorious and blessed life in God. If you wish to learn more, I would like to invite you to join our FREE Bible study guide, “How to Live a Victorious Life.”
