Doubt is something every Christian will face at some point in their journey.
It creeps in quietly, often during difficult seasons, and makes us question everything we thought we knew about Yahweh.
If you’re currently in your first season of doubt, take heart—you are not alone. Even the greatest figures in the Bible, from Moses to David to John the Baptist, wrestled with uncertainty.
The key is not to let doubt pull you away from Yahweh but to use it as a tool for deeper faith.
Here’s how to survive this challenging season:
1. Acknowledge Your Doubts
Pretending your doubts don’t exist or trying to suppress them will only make them stronger.
Be honest with yourself and with Yahweh.
Pray as the father in Mark 9:24 did, saying, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Yahweh is not afraid of your questions, and He invites you to seek Him with a sincere heart.
2. Immerse Yourself in Scripture
When doubt strikes, your emotions may try to lead you away from the truth.
Instead of relying on fleeting feelings, anchor yourself in the Word of Yahweh.
Read passages that reaffirm His faithfulness, such as Isaiah 41:10—“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”
3. Surround Yourself with Faithful Believers
It’s easy to isolate yourself when you’re struggling with doubt, but that’s the worst thing you can do.
Seek out mature believers who can encourage you, pray for you, and remind you of Yahweh’s promises.
Faith is strengthened in community, not in isolation.
4. Look Back at Yahweh’s Faithfulness
Think about the times when Yahweh has come through for you in the past.
Reflect on prayers He has answered, ways He has provided, and moments He has given you peace.
Keeping a journal of Yahweh’s past faithfulness can be a powerful tool against future doubts.
5. Be Patient with Yourself
Doubt is not a sign that you’ve failed as a Christian—it’s an opportunity to grow.
Just like physical muscles strengthen through resistance, faith grows stronger when challenged.
Don’t rush through this season; instead, lean into it and allow Yahweh to refine you.
6. Keep Moving Forward
Even when your faith feels weak, keep pressing on.
Continue to pray, read the Bible, and stay connected to other believers.
Faith isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about trusting Yahweh even when you don’t understand everything.
