A lot of Christians today would tell you that keeping God’s commandments is no longer required. All you need to do is Love Jesus, accept Him as your Savior, and you’re already saved. They would argue that Christ did it for us and after His death, the law of God is already obsolete.
However, is this really correct? The book of Revelation, a prophetic book, tells us that the people of God should still keep His commandments!
We read in Revelation 12:17:
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14:12 also tells us:
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
This proves that we are still expected to obey God’s laws today and even in the future.
