What did Jesus teach about tithing? [1-minute video]

Christians today are divided when it comes to tithing. Some Christians teach that God expects us to give a tenth of our income back to Him while others teach that it’s an old teaching that is not relevant to Christians today.

No matter what others may say, you need to hear what Jesus or Yahshua teaches about tithing.

We read in Matthew 23:23:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

In this verse, we can see that Christ actually upheld the law of tithing. He didn’t tell the Pharisees to stop tithing. Instead, He was telling them to tithe but at the same time not neglect the weightier of the law.
