Most Christians today believe that everyone has an immortal soul that lives on after they die.
However, is this teaching and belief biblical? Well, the truth is that even if you go from Genesis to Revelation, you won’t find the two words “immortal” and “soul” written side by side.
On the contrary, what we read in the Bible is that souls can actually die. We read in Ezekiel 18:3-4:
3 As I live, declares the Lord GOD, this proverb shall no more be used by you in Israel. 4 Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.
This is also repeated in Ezekiel 18:20:
20 The soul who sins shall die.
As you can see, the biblical definition of soul refers to our body. It’s not spirit. It doesn’t roam around the earth after death.

Also pls sir concerning immortal soul in which u said that man does not have, so what about people who practice soul travel and astral projection in various secret cult and false religion.do u mean that the supernatural entity in them which enable them to do so by the help of a guardian spirit, which I may called the soul or spirit dies at the point of death.but it is hard to believe sir.thank for ur response.

I don’t believe that they actuallly do soul travel or astral projection. They may do in their minds but not in reality.

Good morning sir.thank u sir for ur response.but what about the story of Lazarus and the rich man in luke16 at least that is enough reason to believe that human have immortal soul that survives the body and go to face judgement after death sir.thank u

The story of Lazarus and the rich man is an allegory, used by Christ to teach a lesson.

Also sir what about Paul being caught up to the third heaven according to 2cor12. is that not also a prove that man have immortal soul and spirit.thank u sir

What Paul saw was a vision. It doesn’t prove that we will go to heaven after we die.
