Today’s reading: Romans 8:28

God works all things for good

We read in Romans 8:28:

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28 is among the most quoted verses in the Bible and for good reasons. It gives comfort and assurance that whatever happens to us, it will all turn out good for us.

Notice that the Apostle Paul mentioned that “we know.” This means that we should already know this one thing: God is there to help us as long as we love God and that we are part of His called-out ones.

Notice the word “All.” It says all things work together for good. This means that the negative and positive experiences that we have are all taken into consideration to give us a good result.

It’s like baking. There are a lot of ingredients that come into the mix. For a delicious and tasty cake to come out of the oven, you need salt, flour, egg, sugar, and other important ingredients.

If in your situation you are only given salt, God will eventually give you the rest of the ingredients. If you are given difficulties now, don’t give up because the baking process isn’t over yet.

The Almighty is faithful. He will not simply allow tests in our lives without providing the answers. That’s why don’t simply look at your current situation. If you’re in a dire situation, you would most likely be depressed, disappointed, and hopeless.

You would need to look into the bigger picture. God isn’t done yet. He is still in the process of molding you as His child.

So, don’t quit the Christian race.

Whatever you are going through right now, God can take that and turn it for your good, for your favor, and for your success.
