📅 Wearing God’s Clothing – Daily Bible Reading

Today’s reading: Exodus 29:5-6

Wearing God’s Clothing

In Exodus 29:5-6, we read:

Then you shall take the garments, put the tunic on Aaron, and the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the intricately woven band of the ephod. 6 You shall put the turban on his head, and put the holy crown on the turban.

One may wonder why Yahweh is so particular with what the priest wears.

This is actually teaching us vital lessons.

In the Bible, we read a lot about spiritually removing our own clothing and putting on the spiritual clothing God has given us.

We read about being:

  • Clothed in humility (1 Peter 5:5-6)
  • Clothed with salvation (Psalm 132:16 | Isaiah 61:10)
  • Girded with gladness (Psalm 30:11)
  • Clothed with the mantle of praise (Isaiah 61:3)
  • Washed of our robes (Revelation 7:14)
  • Equipped with the armor of light and armor of God (Romans 13:12 | Ephesians 6:11)
  • Clothed with immortality (I Corinthians 15:54)

We are all born with the clothing of human nature.

As we grow and mature, we must seek to wear the clothing of the set-apart spirit. We are in the process of putting off the old man and putting in the new man.

May we all strive to become future priests in Yahweh’s Kingdom!
