There are a lot of helpful websites that can help Christians when studying the Bible. I’ve been studying the Bible for many years now and some websites are just amazing when it comes to helping me understand the Word of God.
For this reason, I want to share with you the websites that I frequently use when studying the Bible. Some are even not that popular and yet, packed with so many spiritual golden nuggets. Of course, this does not mean that I endorse all the materials found on these sites. So please let the Bible still be your final authority.
Here are my top 7 list of helpful Christian websites.
1. Beyond Today
There are tons of useful topics from this website, from Christian living topics to doctrines. Their content includes blogs, articles, podcasts, sermons, and videos. Most importantly, all their materials are FREE! They even give free, high-quality booklets and bi-monthly magazine subscriptions. So I highly recommend this website.
2. E-Sword

This is super helpful Bible software. It is free and for just a little money, you can download premium Bible commentaries, Bible versions, and dictionaries. It is very easy to use, and the free commentaries and concordance are highly beneficial when it comes to shedding more light on a particular verse.
3. Bible Gateway

The Bible Gateway website is a handy site where you can easily access hundreds of Bible translations. Their Bible translations even include other languages such as Spanish, French, Arabic, Italian, and Filipino. Aside from Bible translations, you can also study the Bible by topics through their website.
4. Free Bible Study Guides
If you want to study the Bible by subject, you better use this site. It is packed with biblically sound teachings that will open your eyes to new truths. You can also access their 3 Bible Tips for a quick lesson for the day.
5. Open Bible

This website is absolutely helpful in knowing what the Bible says about a particular subject. For example, you can ask, “What does the Bible say about love?” It will automatically show you a list of scriptures that have something to do with love.
6. Bible Study Tools

This is somewhat similar to Open Bible but has more functionalities. It comes with a lot of free online commentaries, audio Bible, inspirations, videos, blogs, encyclopedias, and a lot more.
7. Christian Post

Christ said to watch and pray. Thus, it is important for us, Christians to watch world news and see how it squares with Biblical prophecies. While there are a lot of broadcasting companies such as BBC, CNN, and Reuters, it is great to have a website that specifically gathers news for Christians. Thus, I highly recommend Christian Post. On this site, you will read helpful articles and news that increase our awareness of the world around us. Nevertheless, some contents are not really Biblically sound so please use them with caution.
Final Words
So there you have it. I hope these websites will help you as much as they helped me. Do you have other websites to share? If yes, share your thoughts in the comment section below. 🙂

Just be sure to ignore the comments on articles at “The Christian Post.” Some of their readers need to read their Bibles instead of thumping them, especially the parts about profane and vulgar language.

Thanks for this reminder, Bill. I know the Internet can be a mixture of good and evil and it takes a lot of wisdom to filter through the Internet.
