A Dirty Coin and Your Value

During my morning jog, I stopped to catch my breath. I put my hands on my knees and watched the sweat drip down. As I looked at the ground, I noticed a ₱10 coin slightly buried in the dirt.

📢 Your worth is not based on your status, wealth, or achievements. Discover how God truly sees you as we learn together in our community, “How to Live a Victorious Life!

a coin hidden in the dirt

It was dirty, partially buried, and easy to overlook.

But the dirt didn’t change its value.

I picked it up because I knew that underneath all that dirt, it was still worth ₱10.

And perhaps that’s something we need to remember about ourselves and others.

Sometimes, people become buried under their mistakes, failures, disappointments, and sins. We may look at someone and see only the dirt covering their life.

But God sees something more.

Being buried in our mistakes doesn’t mean we have lost our value. As long as we are alive, there is still an opportunity to change our ways, grow, and become better each day.

The world may overlook what is lying in the dirt.

God doesn’t.

He sees the person underneath the dirt. He sees the potential. He sees what we can become.

And more than simply cleaning us up, God wants a relationship with us. He wants to lift us out of the dirt, transform our lives, and ultimately make us His children in His coming Kingdom.

So if you feel like you’re buried today, remember the ₱10 coin.

Being covered in dirt doesn’t mean you’ve lost your value.
