Let me start with something bold: Not everything that is legal is right in the eyes of God.
That might sound harsh, but it’s the truth we need to wrestle with.
Today, same-sex marriage has been legalized in many countries, and society loudly tells us, “Love is love.”
But here’s the question we must ask: Does God agree with that statement?
This is where the tension begins.
Because the Bible doesn’t change with culture.
What was sin thousands of years ago is still sin today.

That truth doesn’t bend simply because society votes differently or because it makes us uncomfortable.
The Bible is crystal clear. From the very beginning, Yahweh defined marriage. In Genesis 2:24, we read:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (NKJV).
Notice what’s missing?
There’s no room for “man and man” or “woman and woman.”
God designed marriage between one man and one woman—not because He wanted to restrict us, but because He knows what’s best for us.
Now, some people might say, “But Jesus never directly condemned gay marriage!”
Let’s look closer. In Matthew 19:4-5, Yahshua Himself reaffirms God’s design:
“Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?” (NKJV).
Jesus didn’t redefine marriage.
He confirmed it.
And He set the standard for His followers: truth over trends.
But here’s something important to understand: speaking the truth doesn’t mean we get to be hateful or judgmental.
Yes, the Bible calls homosexuality a sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
But let’s be clear—so is lying.
So is adultery.
So is greed.
Sin is sin.
And all of us have fallen short (Romans 3:23).
That means we don’t throw stones.
We don’t mock.
We don’t dehumanize people who struggle with same-sex attraction.
Instead, we speak the truth in love.
We point them to Yeshua, the only One who can forgive sins, transform hearts, and restore lives.
This is where it gets personal.
Because maybe you have a friend, a sibling, or even a child who identifies as gay.
And you feel torn between loving them and holding to biblical truth.
That tension is real.
But remember this: true love is not silent in the face of sin.
True love doesn’t affirm what God rejects.
True love points people toward eternal life, even when it’s uncomfortable.

So, what does the Bible say about gay marriage?
It’s simple but challenging.
God does not approve of it.
Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman.
Anything outside of that falls short of His design.
If you found this hard to read, good.
That means you’re taking it seriously.
