God’s Voice Is Still and Gentle
In 1 Kings 19, the prophet Elijah didn’t find God in the earthquake, the wind, or the fire—but in a still small voice. Yahweh doesn’t shout to compete with the world’s volume. He whispers because He wants us to come closer.
To hear His voice, we must first make space for silence.
That may mean turning off the TV, getting off social media, or even waking up a little earlier just to sit quietly with His Word. When you prioritize His presence, you’ll be surprised how clearly He begins to speak.
God Speaks Through His Word
So many people want a divine voice from heaven but ignore the divine words already written. Scripture is the most consistent and trustworthy way God speaks. If you’re unsure what He’s saying—open your Bible.
Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27). The more familiar you become with His Word, the easier it is to recognize when He’s speaking to you personally—through thoughts, impressions, or divine circumstances.
Be Still and Listen
We often rush through prayer and treat it like a one-way conversation. But prayer is meant to be a dialogue. After you speak to God, wait and listen.
The Holy Spirit often nudges our hearts with gentle convictions or clarity when we pause long enough to hear.
God’s voice is never chaotic, manipulative, or fear-inducing. It brings peace, conviction, and alignment with His Word.
