We chase productivity, performance, or even religious activities, thinking they’ll fill the gap. But joy isn’t found in doing more. It’s found in drawing near. When prayer becomes routine, worship becomes passive, and the Word becomes background noise, it’s no wonder our joy dries up.
King David knew this all too well. After falling into sin, he cried out, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation” (Psalm 51:12). That joy was missing not because Yahweh changed—but because David had strayed. The good news? It can be restored. Always.

- Am I going through the motions while drifting from the Source?
- When was the last time I sat still in God’s presence—just to enjoy Him?
