US Bombed Iran: Is This World War 3?

Are we seeing the beginning of World War 3? With the US participating in the Israel-Iran war, it seems things are getting out of control fast. However, in the midst of chaos, where can we find our hope? How is the US entering into the Middle-East war fulfill Bible Prophecy? Let’s find out today!

The world stands at the edge of a dangerous precipice.

The United States, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, has just launched a powerful airstrike on three of Iran’s most fortified nuclear sites—Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan. Utilizing GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs, the U.S. struck targets that even Israel couldn’t reach. Trump called the operation one of the most lethal and precise military actions in modern history.

But as missiles fall and nations tremble, the question that echoes across the globe is chilling: Have we just entered the opening phase of World War 3?

The Stage Is Set for Global Chaos

This strike is not an isolated event. It follows a week-long exchange of blows between Israel and Iran—an air war that has already cost over 200 lives and injured more than 1,200. Iran has since responded by launching dozens of drones toward Israeli targets, many of which reportedly struck with deadly accuracy.

But the world fears Iran’s next move may be even more catastrophic.

Iran is believed to possess biological and chemical weapons, and there are reports that sleeper terror cells may exist within the United States. The possibility of these cells being activated in retaliation raises an unthinkable scenario: war could erupt not just in the Middle East—but on American soil.

Prophecy of Elam: A Warning for Our Time?

The ancient prophet Jeremiah wrote something profound about Elam—a region that aligns geographically with modern-day Iran:

“Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the foremost of their might… I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them. I will set My throne in Elam, and will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord.”
Jeremiah 49:34–38

Though God’s throne has not yet been established in Elam, the prophecy about its leaders being consumed and scattered fits eerily with what has been unfolding. Many Iranian leaders have been assassinated or killed in recent years. The military and governmental structure of Iran is being targeted and dismantled. Could we be seeing a dual fulfillment of this prophecy?

The Rise of an Islamic Alliance: Psalm 83

What’s even more unsettling is how many Islamic nations are beginning to rally together. During a recent summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan voiced his full support for Iran and declared, “Victory will be Iran’s.”

Turkey’s foreign minister called for Muslim nations to unite and stand against Israel. This public display of “Islamic unity” is reminiscent of the Psalm 83 alliance, a prophetic passage many believe describes a coalition of nations that will rise against Israel in the last days.

“They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’ For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You.”
Psalm 83:4–5

This alliance includes nations historically hostile to Israel—such as Edom, Moab, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia, Tyre, and Assyria—regions that correspond today to parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, the Palestinian territories, and possibly Turkey.

While Sunni and Shi’ite divisions have traditionally kept Muslim nations fragmented, war has a way of creating new alliances. We are seeing growing calls for unity not based on sectarianism—but shared opposition to Israel. That prophetic coalition may be forming before our very eyes.

What Did Jesus Say About All This?

As Christians, we are not left in the dark. Yahshua the Messiah gave us a clear warning in Matthew 24:

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet… All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew 24:6, 8

We are indeed hearing of wars and rumors of wars—from Ukraine to Gaza, from Taiwan to Iran. Earthquakes, famines, pestilence, and deception are rampant. But this is not yet the end. These are merely the labor pains—the beginning of sorrows.

This means that more prophetic events still need to unfold.

Why Is the United States Missing in End-Time Prophecy?

One sobering detail many overlook is that the United States is never directly mentioned in end-time prophecy. A superpower of its size and influence should be present—unless it falls.

That leads to an uncomfortable but necessary conclusion: for the final prophecies to be fulfilled, the U.S. must first fall—militarily and economically. The current escalation may be the spark that begins that decline.

Could this war, or the retaliation that follows, mark the start of America’s collapse? If Iran activates its terror cells or launches cyber and economic attacks, the consequences could be devastating. Meanwhile, the dollar is already weakened, and America’s moral, political, and social foundations are crumbling.

The Middle East on Fire: Turkey Enters the Arena

Tensions are no longer confined to Iran and Israel. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a blistering speech on June 21, declaring, “Victory will be Iran’s.” At a summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Erdoğan accused Israel of sabotaging diplomacy and urged Muslim nations to unite against Tel Aviv.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, went further, warning that Israel’s actions could trigger a “broader regional instability”. His call for Islamic unity is causing many to wonder: is Psalm 83 beginning to come alive before our eyes?

Prophecy Watch: Iran, Syria, and the Coming Storm

Some Bible students and prophecy watchers have long speculated that Iran and Syria may form a confederation to attack Israel. Isaiah 22:1–14 hints at such a scenario. Could we now be watching that prophecy setting into motion?

Even evangelical figures like Joel Richardson have raised the possibility of Turkey siding with Iran. While historically unlikely due to sectarian divides between Sunni and Shi’ite Muslims, political alliances have a way of shifting in times of war.

What Triggered the U.S. Strike?

Was this attack a long-laid plan? Possibly. Just two days before the bombing, President Trump claimed he would give Iran two weeks to return to the negotiating table. Instead, he pulled the trigger early.

Some speculate the decision came after a final round of failed diplomacy—both from Trump’s administration and European mediators. Frustrated, Trump may have acted to protect U.S. interests and support its closest ally, Israel.

Whatever the case, the United States has now taken direct military action against a sovereign nuclear power, and the world is on edge.

US Bombed Iran: Where Are We Now?

  • Iran has been bombed.
  • Israel is under siege.
  • Turkey and other Muslim nations are calling for unity.
  • Prophecy is being fulfilled in real time.
  • And the world is trembling at the edge of a much larger war.

We may not be in World War 3 yet—but we are dangerously close. And the Bible has warned us of these times, not to scare us, but to prepare us.

Let us not sleep, but watch. The storm is gathering—but so is the Kingdom of God.
