At first glance, Matthew 8:22 and Luke 9:60 can feel like a slap in the face.
A man approaches Yahshua (Jesus) with what seems like a reasonable request: “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”
And what does Jesus say?
“Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Harsh? Yes.
