Let’s be honest.
Something feels off.
You can feel it when you step into some churches.
You hear it in casual conversations.
You see it all over social media — little bite-sized pieces of faith, carefully packaged for easy consumption, but stripped of their real power.
Modern Christianity has a problem.
And it’s not because God has changed. It’s because we have.

1. We’ve Made Christianity Comfortable
Somewhere along the way, we traded the rugged cross (stake) for cushioned seats.
Today, “Christianity” often means fitting Jesus into your life—without changing your life.
It’s about adding faith to your busy schedule, not surrendering everything to Him.
We have “drive-thru discipleship,” where we want growth without sacrifice, blessings without obedience, heaven without holiness.
Yahshua (Jesus) said it plainly:
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23, NKJV)
Deny yourself.
Carry your cross.
Follow Him.
That’s not comfortable.
It’s costly.
2. We’ve Forgotten What It Means To Fear God
Modern Christianity loves to talk about God’s love — and rightly so! God’s love is beyond comprehension.
But we’ve nearly erased the fear of God.
Today, Yahweh is treated more like a buddy or a life coach than the Holy, All-Powerful Creator of the universe.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10, NKJV)
If you lose the fear of God, you lose the foundation of wisdom.
And honestly? That’s exactly what’s happening.

3. We’ve Embraced a Watered-Down Gospel
“God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life” — that’s the message we hear over and over again.
Is it true?
Yes.
But it’s incomplete.
The full Gospel is actually about the coming Kingdom of God. It’s the central message of Christ as well as His Apostles. We need to realize that the good news about the good news is that Yahshua will return and replace all the worldly kingdoms!
And if you want to be part of the Kingdom, then you have to change!
Repentance is not optional.
Holiness is not legalism.
Obedience is not “works-based salvation.”
The Gospel is not about making you feel better about yourself; it’s about transforming you into the image of Christ.
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)
Refreshing follows repentance — not the other way around.
4. We’ve Idolized Relevance
In trying to “be relevant,” we’ve made compromises.
We’ve diluted the truth so we don’t offend.
We’ve redesigned church to look more like a concert than a place of reverence.
We’ve swapped conviction for entertainment, and substance for style.
But the message of God was never “cool.” It was different. Offensive. Bloody.
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)
The world will never find the cross “cool.”
And that’s okay.
Because we’re not called to fit in — we’re called to stand out.
5. We’ve Lost Our Hunger For the Word
Binge a whole Netflix season? No problem.
Spend 10 minutes in the Bible? “Ugh, I’m so tired.”
Tell me that’s not a problem.
The early church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching (Acts 2:42). They were hungry for truth.
Today, many Christians don’t even know basic doctrines.
We have more access to the Bible than ever before — apps, podcasts, videos, devotionals — and yet we are more biblically illiterate than generations before us.
Friend, hear me.
The Word of God is not optional. It’s not a side dish. It is life itself.
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4, NKJV)
You can’t survive on spiritual crumbs.
So… What’s the Solution?
It’s simple. It’s raw. It’s radical.
Return to Christ. Return to the Word. Return to holiness. Return to the fear of God. Return to real, deep, transformative faith.
Not the polished Instagram version. Not the comfortable “Jesus fits into my lifestyle” version. Not the entertainment-driven, self-help TED talk with Bible verses sprinkled in.
The real Gospel.
The real Jesus.
The real cross.
Will it cost you everything? Yes.
Will it be worth it? More than you could ever imagine.
Friend, the time for playing church is over.
The time for real Christianity is now.
Choose today whom you will serve.
Not the “safe,” easy, modern version.
But the living, breathing, all-consuming King of Kings.
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15, NKJV)
Let’s be the generation that doesn’t just wear the name Christian — but lives it out.
With all our heart. With all our soul. With all our strength.
No compromise. No turning back.
