You pray. You plead. You believe. But the healing doesn’t come.
Maybe it’s for you, or maybe it’s for someone you love—a parent, a child, a dear friend.
You’ve read the verses about Yahshua healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind, even raising the dead. So, why not this time?
Why does God choose to heal some and not others?
This question cuts deep, and I won’t sugarcoat it. It’s one of the hardest things to wrestle with as a believer.
But if you’ll walk with me through this, I believe you’ll find something even greater than healing—something that can change your faith forever.

1. God Still Heals—But Not Always the Way We Expect
Let’s start here: God is still in the business of healing. Miracles happen. People walk away from deathbeds. Doctors shake their heads in disbelief. And yet… some remain unhealed.
Does that mean God is not listening? Does it mean He doesn’t care?
Not at all.
Yahweh Himself said:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9, NKJV)
What if healing doesn’t always mean a physical miracle? What if sometimes, the greater healing is something deeper?
2. Healing Is Not Just About the Body—It’s About the Spirit
When Yahshua healed people, He often said something unexpected:
“Your faith has made you well.” (Luke 8:48, NKJV)
He wasn’t just talking about physical health. He was talking about something much bigger—spiritual healing, eternal healing, the kind that truly matters.
Think about it. Every single person Yahshua healed eventually died. Lazarus? He was raised from the dead, but later, he died again. The blind men who received their sight? They eventually passed away, too.
But those who received spiritual healing? They gained something no sickness could take away—eternal life.
3. Sometimes, God Uses Suffering for a Greater Purpose
This is hard to hear, but we can’t ignore it. There are times when suffering serves a purpose we cannot see in the moment.
The apostle Paul, one of the greatest men of faith, had a “thorn in the flesh.” He begged God to remove it. Three times. And what did God say?
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV)
Paul didn’t get his healing. But he got something better—the power of God resting upon him.
Think about Job. He lost everything—his health, his children, his wealth. Yet through it all, he remained faithful. In the end, Yahweh restored him beyond what he had before.
Sometimes, our suffering is not about us. It’s about how God wants to use us to reveal His glory, strengthen our faith, and even impact others in ways we may never fully understand.

4. The Ultimate Healing Is Coming
Let’s be real. We live in a broken world. Sickness, pain, and death exist because of sin—not necessarily personal sin, but the fallen condition of this world.
But here’s the hope: this world is not the end of the story.
Revelation 21:4 (NKJV) gives us a promise worth holding onto:
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
There is a day coming when every sickness will be gone. Every pain will disappear. Every broken body will be made whole.
That is the ultimate healing. And that is the hope we cling to.
So, What Should You Do?
If you or someone you love is suffering, I want you to know this:
- Keep praying. Yahweh still heals, and miracles still happen. But trust Him no matter the outcome.
- Look beyond physical healing. Sometimes, God is doing something deeper—something eternal.
- Hold onto the hope of the coming Kingdom of God. This life is temporary, but what’s coming is forever.
I don’t know why God hasn’t healed you—or the person you love. But I do know this: He sees you. He cares. He is working in ways you can’t yet see.
And one day, all the pain, all the suffering, all the unanswered prayers will make sense.
Until then, we trust. We hope. And we press on.
Because our Healer is still in control.
