Should you follow your heart? [1-minute video]

Transcript

One of the most common pieces of advice I hear from people is, “Just follow your heart.” They would add, just do what you feel is right. As long as you’re not hurting other people, do whatever makes you happy.

However, is it true that we should follow our heart? What does the Bible say?

Jeremiah 17:9 plainly tells us:

“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?”

Do you really want to follow a deceitful and wicked heart? Is that really good advice? Obviously, no.

Instead of following our hearts, what should we do? We read in John 8:12:

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

So, we must and we should follow God and His Son, Jesus Christ or properly known as Yahshua instead of our hearts. Let them direct your path.
