Did you know that you can lead a more positive life? It’s true! Many people find themselves stuck in negativity, feeling sad, frustrated, and victimized. But you don’t have to be one of them. In this blog, I’m going to share with you three powerful biblical ways to start living a more positive life. Make sure to watch all the way through, because the third tip is the most important. Let’s get started!
What are the Biblical Ways to Live a Positive Life?
What are you thinking about right now? Are your thoughts mostly positive or negative? What’s occupying your heart and mind? It’s important to take a look at what’s inside us because it shows in our actions. If we’re filled with negative thoughts, we’re more likely to make poor choices.
In Luke 6:45, it says:
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
Think of your heart and mind as a container that can only hold so much. If it’s filled with negative stuff, there’s less room for the positive. Maybe you’re feeling 15% jealous, 15% angry, 20% guilty, and 20% worried. That adds up to 70% negativity. No wonder it’s hard to find joy!
So, what can we do about it? Here are 3 biblical ways to live a more positive life:

1. Remove the Negative
We need to actively decide to get rid of negative thoughts. Colossians 3:8-9 tells us:
“But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds.”
Negative thoughts will come, but you can choose what stays. For example, if someone offends you, you can choose not to let them ruin your peace. If your children make a mess, you can calmly remind them of their responsibilities instead of getting angry. It’s all about making conscious choices.
2. Add the Positive
Once you’ve cleared out the negative, fill your heart with positive, godly traits. Colossians 3:12-15 says:
“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another… But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts.”
Fill your container with kindness, humility, and love. When you focus on these positive traits, you’ll feel more joy and peace.
3. Put on Jesus Christ
Removing negativity and adding positivity can be tough on your own. That’s where God and His Son come in. Romans 13:14 says:
“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
Jesus (properly known as Yahshua) can cleanse us and help us live a righteous life. Just like He healed people with leprosy and made them clean, He can purify our hearts and minds. Let Him work in you through the Holy Spirit.
Follow the Biblical Ways to Live a Positive Life
Life is full of things that can bring us down, but we can choose to bring our worries to God and adopt a more positive outlook. Being positive doesn’t mean ignoring life’s problems. It means looking at life through God’s perspective, knowing He’s working for your ultimate good. With this mindset, you’ll find more love, joy, and peace in your life.
So, let’s start filling our hearts and minds with positive, godly thoughts and live a more positive life!
