of effective prayers, which is worshipful prayer. Our prayers should start and end with worship

and praise to Yahweh, our Heavenly Father. You see, some skeptics might say

why should we worship God? Does that make Him a narcissist who loves to get praised

Well, that's not actually true. You see, God is God. He is perfect, He is all-powerful

He created us, He gave us life. In short, God is the greatest and most perfect being

in this entire universe. A narcissist, on the other hand, has a false image of himself

He believes that he's perfect when he's not. This is not true in the case of God

Not only that, but a narcissist gets his value from other people, which is again, not true with God

God is God whether you praise Him or not. So when we worship God, it's not narcissism

but rather, it's an acknowledgement of the reality that God is great and perfect

and He alone deserves adoration and worship. So why do we worship God

We don't worship God because He needs words of admiration and praise, rather, we worship God for us to recognize

who God really is. Notice in Matthew 6, verse 9, Christ instructed us to start our prayer with His mindset

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. To hallow God's name means to treat it with reverence

respect, and honor. It means to acknowledge that God is holy and that He's worthy of our worship

When we hallow God's name, we are also acknowledging His power and authority over us

That's why when we pray, it shouldn't be all about ourselves. It should also be about worshiping and praising God

You and I are created to worship something. The question now is, what do you worship

Or who do you worship? I hope the answer is that we worship the Creator

rather than His creation. Now, what's interesting about worshiping God is that it inevitably leads to thankfulness

This means that when we pray, we should express our gratitude to God

We must be thankful in His presence for all the wonderful blessings He has given us

And that is what it means for us to have a worshipful prayer

As you can see, we worship God not to benefit God, but rather we worship Him to benefit ourselves

It's not something that is good for God, but it is good for us

When we worship God, it prevents us from worshiping the wrong things in life

We stop worshiping ourselves, worshiping statues, worshiping other people, worshiping wealth, and worshiping material things

Worshiping others will ultimately lead to our destruction. It is only by worshiping the true God

that we will surely be able to fulfill the purpose of our existence

From this perspective, worshiping God is not about feeding God's ego or inflating a sense of self-importance

but rather about cultivating a relationship based on love, reverence, and devotion

Worshiping is therefore considered an act of humility and devotion, acknowledging the divine sovereignty

and recognizing one's dependence on God for guidance, support, and salvation. And that, my friend

is the second quality of effective prayers, worshipful prayer. You need to add worship to your prayer

Remember, our prayer should not only be about us, but also about our relationship with God
