If you care about what God says in your life, then you need to hear me out. Today, I want to share with you the 3 powerful reasons you should NEVER celebrate Halloween. Watch this video until the end and I’ll let you know how you can receive our free booklet today.

10 Compelling Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Celebrate Halloween free booklet (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Hello everyone! I’m Joshua Infantado of Becoming Christians Academy, the best online course for you if you want to become a more zealous servant of God.

Every year, millions of people celebrate Halloween across the globe. They thought that this is just harmless entertainment and just a way to have good times with friends and families. I even know of churches that hold Halloween parties.

Nevertheless, did you know that God is not pleased with this celebration? In fact, God doesn’t want you and I to celebrate Halloween. To prove my point, let me share with you three important lessons.

Reason no. 1: God forbids pagan worship

Knowing the origins of Halloween isn’t that difficult. All you need to do is simply do a quick Google search, “What is the origin of Halloween?” From there, you’ll find the overwhelming historical facts of where Halloween came from.

In essence, Halloween started when the Catholic church combined its celebration of All Saints’ Day or All Hallows Eve with the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (sah-win.)

When the Roman Empire adopted Catholicism as its official religion, the church tried to win over the pagans to their side. They thought of a clever idea. They chose November 1 because it is the same day when the pagans celebrate Samhain.

Samhain is a pagan celebration that commemorates the return of the dead to the earth. During this time, Druids and Celtic priests gathered together to build a huge sacred bonfire and burn crops and animals as their sacrifice to their gods. They would then wear costumes such as animal heads and skins and tell people’s fortunes.

The problem is that instead of the Catholic church winning the pagans, the pagans brought with them their rituals and beliefs into the church, resulting in syncretism.

The Almighty God forbids the practice of adding paganism to religion. We read in Deuteronomy 12:29-32:

29 “When Yahweh your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ 31 You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Deuteronomy 12:29-32

God commands us to have pure religion. He doesn’t want us to borrow pagan practices to worship Him. Thus, this is one powerful reason we should never celebrate Halloween.

Reason no. 2: Halloween glorifies Satan

Stop for a few seconds. Look around you. Observe how Halloween is celebrated. In the  entertainment industry, many new horror movies come out before and during Halloween. Children are taught to avoid darkness except on Halloween when they can pretend to be zombies, witches, and monsters. People decorate their homes with dead bodies, tombstones, and ghosts. The scarier, the better.

Can you honestly tell yourself that all these things glorify God? Of course not!

Instead of glorifying God, who do you think Halloween glorifies? Obviously, it’s Satan the Devil!

We read in 1 Corinthians 10:20-22:

20 Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

1 Corinthians 10:20-22

The Bible is clear. You can’t partake of the evil deeds and darkness of this world and become a Christian at the same time. You have to choose: will you drink the cup of God or the cup of demons?

Make no mistake about it: Halloween does not glorify God. It glorifies Satan.

Reason no. 3: You should be a light to the world

We read in Matthew 5:14-16:

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16

When we join Halloween, a pagan celebration of darkness, evil, and death, we are extinguishing the light that is in us. We become closer to the darkness rather than God.

You see, in your Christian walk, there are only two directions you are going, it is either you draw closer to God or closer to Satan.

Jesus Christ (properly known as Yahshua the Messiah) commands every one of us to become the lights of the world. We must avoid darkness at all costs and that includes ditching Halloween.

When we put on satanic costumes, we can’t be a light to the world. When we join our friends, families, and communities in celebration of darkness and evil, we can’t be a light to the world. When we support horror movies, Halloween parties, and trick or treats, we can’t be a light to the world.

Why not put on the Christian costume, instead? That costume is to put on the light that God gives us. That means we stop the celebration of Halloween and start doing the will of Yahweh in our lives.

Closing words

These are just some of the most important reasons we should not celebrate Halloween. I hope this presentation has opened your eyes to the truth.

Friends, may this message fall not on deaf ears, but rather may it inspire you to follow the commandments of God.

Instead of celebrating Halloween, why not celebrate the Holy Days God has commanded us to observe? Why not celebrate the love, mercy, and grace that God has shown us in our lives? Why not sing praises and worship our Heavenly Father?

When you do this, you will become Children of the Most High.

That’s it for me. Again, I’m Joshua Infantado of Becoming Christians Academy, praying that our Father in Heaven will bless us all with His love, truth, and grace. See you next time!
