While the medical and scientific field generally would endorse vaccines as an effective way to fight off infections

there are those who strongly oppose their use. As Christians, which side should we stand on

Should we vaccinate our children? Should we ourselves get vaccinated? Most importantly, what does the God

or the Bible teach about vaccines. Before we answer the question, let us know first what vaccines are

The World Health Organization described vaccines this way. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent diseases

A vaccine helps the biocene system to recognize and fight pathogens like viruses or bacteria

which then keeps us safe from the diseases they cause. Vaccines protect against more than 25 debilitating or life threat

diseases including missiles, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, meningitis, influenza, tetanus, typhoid, and cervical cancer

As you can see, the concept behind vaccines is to inject the body with weakened or dead disease

causing microorganisms The aim is for the body to establish immunity against these microbes So when stronger and more virulent microbes attack the body can be more prepared in fighting them off

In theory, that's how vaccines work. Vaccinations are designed to help the body produce antigens

what others are telling us. Now, I'm not here to tell you whether you should get vaccinated or not

That's a decision that each of us needs to make. However, to help you make a better decision

let me share with you four important biblical principles. These principles should guide you in making the best decision possible

First principle, this world is deceived by Satan. We read in Revelation 12 verse 9 So the great dragon was cast out that servant of old called the devil and Satan who deceives the whole world He was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him

As we have read, Satan didn't simply deceive a small part of the world, but he receives the whole world

This means that the majority is not always right. Don't readily trust people based on what they say

We have seen in history that the science, they claim to be true today can be an error in the future

Second principle, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We read in 1st Corinthians 3, verse 16 to 17

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in you

If anyone defies the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are

If you have received the Holy Spirit already, your body, is its dwelling place. You have the duty to take care of it, respect it, and keep it healthy

Thus, you shouldn't simply let any foreign materials or microbes get inside your body. You need to do

your own research and prove whether vaccines will be good for you or not. Third principle

vaccination is not primarily a salvation issue. God will not prevent you from entering
