Where is the United States in the Bible?

Have you ever wondered whether the United States of America has been mentioned in the Bible? Well, a lot of people have wondered, but only a few found the answers.

Thankfully, you will be one of those people who found the right answer by reading this post.

The majority of the Christian world is oblivious to the real biblical identity of the United States. I even watched a popular preacher saying that “We just don’t know!” He further claimed that the United States is not found in the Bible!

Some would even insinuate that the United States is the wicked Babylon the Great.

Well, here’s flash news to that preacher and to the rest of Christianity: the United States is in the Bible and you will surely be shocked about the little-known secrets of the origin of this great nation!

Consider this my friend. The Bible mentioned a lot of countries and nations. In fact, it has mentioned smaller and sometimes less significant countries like Italy, Turkey, Ethiopia, Libya, Egypt, and Lebanon.

Do you think the Bible would ignore the single, most powerful country in the history of mankind?

Absolutely, NOT!

That’s why, if you only know where to look and pick up the clues, and follow where the hints are leading, you will definitely find the United States in the Bible.

So, are you ready?

Are you ready to know where the US is in the Book of Books?

Alright, let’s begin. Let’s dive into the Bible and start our search for the United States in the Word of God.

(Please note this is a concise explanation of the Biblical identity of the United States of America. If you want to read the full explanation, download and read your free copy of “The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy” written by Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.)

The search begins

Our search would start in the very first book of the Bible, the book of Genesis, where God started working with an unknown man whose name is Abraham. Notice the promise God gave to Him in Genesis 12:1-2:

Now the LORD had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.

I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.

Notice the promise of God to Abraham.

God will make not just a nation, but a GREAT nation and when God says GREAT, it is truly GREAT!

Not a lot of people have realized the incredible significance of this promise to Abraham.

Now, here’s something more interesting.

The promise of God didn’t stop there. Genesis 13:16 tells us:

16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered.”

Dust? What is dust? Have you tried counting dust? It’s difficult to count, right? So are the descendants of Abraham.

Not only that but in Genesis 17:3-6, we read:

Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.”

Notice the words, “father of many nations, exceedingly fruitful, I will make nations of you and kings shall come from you.”

Wow! What a great promise that was given to Abraham!

The Promise passed down

The promised made to Abraham was passed down to Isaac, his legitimate son as we read in Genesis 26:1-5:

There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar.

Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven;

I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”

After some years, the promise was then passed down from Isaac to Jacob as we read in Genesis 27:28-29:

Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come near now and kiss me, my son.” And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said:

“Surely, the smell of my son
Is like the smell of a field
Which the LORD has blessed.

Therefore may God give you
Of the dew of heaven,
Of the fatness of the earth,
And plenty of grain and wine.

Let peoples serve you,
And nations bow down to you.

Be master over your brethren,
And let your mother’s sons bow down to you.

Cursed be everyone who curses you,
And blessed be those who bless you!”

In the midst of the handing down of the promise of God, it is important to read a very important piece of the puzzle.

We read in In Genesis 35:9-11, we read:

Then God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Padan Aram, and blessed him. 10 And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, ] but Israel shall be your name.” So He called his name Israel.

Also God said to him: “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body.”

I want you to take note of the phrase, “a nation and a company of nations.” Please remember that as we continue our discussion because it holds the key to further understanding where the United States is in the Bible.

For now, there’s a very fascinating fact we just read from Genesis 35:9-11.

Jacob’s name was changed into what? Into Israel

And we read here that the descendants of Jacob will not just become a nation but they will also become a company of nations!

Israel and the rest of Jacob’s Descendants

A lot of people think that Jacob’s descendants are the modern-day nation of Israel found in the Middle East.

This is partly true, but here’s a mind-blowing fact:

That small state of Israel in the Middle East does not constitute all the tribes of Israel.

If you read the Bible, Jacob had 12 sons and each of these sons formed the 12 tribes of Israel.

If you carefully look into history, the nation of Israel is only composed mainly of the tribe of Judah, where we get the term, Jew, and the tribe of Benjamin, with a small portion of the tribe of Levi!

We are missing the 10 tribes of Israel!

As you can see, all Jews are Israelites, BUT not all Israelites are Jews. The Jews are the main tribe that composes modern-day Israel.

The Making a Great Nation and Multitude of Nation

Here’s the big question: Where are the 10 missing tribes of Israel?

The answer to this question will lead us to more clues and lead us to the United States.

So, let’s proceed. The great material wealth of promise was passed down from Abraham to Isaac, from Isaac to Jacob, and then from Jacob to who?

Here’s where things get more interesting. The promise was passed down to Jacob’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh.

The answer is found in Genesis 48. In this verse, we are told that Jacob was sickly and old and was about to die. He recounted God’s promise to him in verse 4:

“Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.”

Now, it’s time for Jacob to pass down the birthright that was supposed to go to the eldest son, Reuben. Instead, he gave the birthright and along with it the promise of God to Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh.

Here’s the most amazing revelation in the Bible.

Manasseh will become the single great nation while Ephraim will become the company of nations.

The promise of great prosperity wasn’t fulfilled at the time of Abraham.

It wasn’t fulfilled at the time of Isaac and Jacob.

But the promise was withheld for 2,520 years because of the disobedience of the House of Israel.

I can’t go into detail in this video because this is a huge topic. So, I highly recommend you read the PDF file,”The United States And Britain In Prophecy” written by Herbert W Armstrong.

So, fast forward into the future, after 2,520 years, Ephraim’s descendants became the greatest Empire the world has ever seen.

Do you know which empire that is?

It’s the British Empire

The Empire has given birth to a company of nations that include Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Now, who are the descendants of Manasseh today?

Yes, you guessed it, it’s the United States of America.

Throughout the history of mankind, there’s no other country or a nation like the United States when it comes to material wealth and possession.

Look at Egypt, it has existed for thousands of years and yet, the United States, which only started in the 1700s, has exceeded any older nation that has ever existed!

You can see when God says Abraham’s descendants would be a great nation, it surely will be a great nation!

There’s a reason why the United States was instrumental in helping Israel in rebuilding its nation and establishing a Jewish State in the Middle East.

There’s a reason why the United States is allied with English-speaking nations.

Though they don’t know it, they are actually brothers helping each other and they share the same heritage and ancestry!

Where is the United States in the Bible?

Now, that’s something you don’t hear every day in your church.

Friends, I just shared with you the biblical identity of the United States. Don’t let other people fool you into thinking that a country as significant as the United States wasn’t mentioned in the Bible.

Far be it. As you can see, the Bible is an interesting book. It comes with great prophecies that you and I are blessed with to understand during these last days.

I understand my explanation has been very concise. So, please feel free to grab your free digital copy of the book, The United States And Britain In Prophecy, written by Mr. Herbert Armstrong. Free means free. So, it won’t cost you anything, but you’ll gain something by reading the book.

Final words

Well, that’s it for me. I hope you learned a lot from this blog.

If there’s one thing you should learn from this biblical revelation is that God is always in control.

What He promised, He delivers.

If God can fulfill His promise to an ancient figure who lived thousands of years ago, He can definitely fulfill His promises to us.

I hope this blog has given you the answer to the question, “Where is the United States in the Bible?”
