Today’s reading: Deuteronomy 32:46-47

Satan’s lie

We read in Deuteronomy 32:46-47:

46 And he said to them: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law. 47 For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.

One of the greatest lies Satan always tell us, God’s people is this:

“It is futile to serve God and obey His commandments.”

There are times when we get tired of doing God’s work and sometimes, we think our labor is useless and in vain.

That’s exactly what Satan wants us to believe. He wants us to feel we are doing futile work.

However, this is one thing we must remember:

10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10

We must never feel like we are fighting an unwinnable war. We must never feel like we are doing useless work. We must never feel like what we do is futile.

We must not believe Satan’s lies.

We are doing the greatest work on the face of the planet and God’s work comes with the greatest blessings not just for you but also for the rest of mankind.
