Did Jesus really say don’t judge? 🤔

A lot of Christians today would tell you that you should never judge. One primary reason they will tell is that Jesus (properly known as Yahshua) said this in Matthew 7:1:

Judge not, that you be not judged.

That’s it and people would immediately close their Bibles without actually reading the rest of the chapter.

The truth is that Christ was giving a warning here. He was saying that if you judge, make sure you judge yourself first. We read:

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

To say that you should never judge is unbiblical. In fact, the Messiah, Himself, said:

24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:24)
