Today’s reading: Matthew 24:3

Always prepared

We read in Matthew 24:3:

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

Matthew 24 records perhaps Yahshua’s longest discussion about future events. He gave us clues and what will happen before His second coming.

As this might be the case, Yahshua made it clear that “of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only” when He will return.

So, our main purpose is not really to make calculations and predict the second coming of the Messiah.

Yes, we are to discern the signs of the age, but not to the point that we lose sight of what’s truly important.

What’s important is to always be ready. That any time that Yahshua will return, we will be prepared.

In Matthew 24, Christ gave a parable about a faithful and wise servant.

This parable teaches us that we must be about doing our Father’s business.

We must keep on preaching the Good News of the coming Kingdom of Yahweh and prepare ourselves at the same time.

Yahshua is coming whether we are prepared or not.

When prophecies are fulfilled, He will be coming back.

The question now is, “Are you preparing for His coming?”
