Today’s reading: Genesis 47:11-12

Be the Joseph in your family

When we are faithful, God doesn’t only bless us, but also our family.

Through our obedience, God will not only rescue us but also those whom we love.

We read in Genesis 47:11-12:

11 And Joseph situated his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. 12 Then Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all his father’s household with bread, according to the number in their families.

There’s no doubt that Joseph was persecuted.

He faced so many problems and trials that no other teenagers have gone through.

It was easy for him to give up, especially when he was in a foreign land going through life alone.

The brothers of Joseph lived a lie for about two decades.

They could have easily been punished for their sins.

They could have easily been wiped out during the famine.

However, because of God’s plan and through the faithfulness of Joseph, we have seen how all things worked together for good.

So, if you feel like you are the only one being faithful in your family, KEEP THE FAITH.

You will never know how God can use your faith to save and bless others.

After all, it’s not all about you.
