A lot of times, we go through life’s difficulties that we didn’t actually cause.

In those times, we feel like giving up because we feel we are cheated and things are simply unfair.

However, when life bombards you with a hopeless situation, I want you to remember “The Joseph Approach.”

We all remember Joseph as Jacob’s firstborn child to Rachel. He was Jacob’s favorite. Together with Joseph’s dreams and Jacob’s fondness for him, his brothers hated him.

The hatred of Joseph’s brothers caused him to become a servant in a foreign land — far from his family and the familiar place he grew up in.

He was only 17 years old when he was sold to slavery. He served his master, Potiphar, diligently. After more than a decade, he was sent to prison for a sin he didn’t commit. He spent several years in prison and was forgotten by the person whom he helped.

As you can see, Joseph had every reason to give up. Instead, he continued to be at his best, to do what was right, and keep God’s commandments.

He didn’t simply walk away from God and adopt the pagan ways of Egypt.

Instead, he remained faithful. He continued to strive for a righteous life even if he became a slave for it, even if he was imprisoned for it, and even if he was forgotten for it.

My friend, this is the Joseph Approach.
