The Happiest Day of My Life

I want you to think about the happiest day of your life.

Close your eyes and think about it for about 10 seconds…

If you are like most people, the happiest day of your life isn’t the time when you bought a brand new car. It wasn’t when you bought a new house. It wasn’t when you acquire material wealth and possession.

For most of us, the happiest days of our lives are those days spent with our loved ones, friends, and family.

For most of us, the happiest days of our lives are those days when we serve other people — those days when people are happy because of us.

As you can see, friends, material wealth could make us happy, but just for a while.

It doesn’t last long.

What actually makes us happy are the human connections that we have established.

It was the moments we share with each other and most importantly, with God.

Thousands of years ago, King David wrote this:

1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Psalms 133:1

This tells us that joy is found when we are together with the brethren, with people, with our loved ones — not with things.

So, when it comes to setting your priority, put God and people first before material wealth.

When you do, you will have the happiest day of your life.

You won’t simply be happy, but joyful and blessed.
