Do you know what is the most ignored Commandment?

I have a question for you.

What is probably the most ignored command in the Ten Commandment?

A lot of people would readily accept the other nine.

However, for this particular command, it seems the Christian world unanimously disregarded it.

Pastors, ministers, and church leaders are quick to point out that this command no longer applies to us.

The Most Ignored and Forgotten Commandment

  1. So, where did the idea of Sunday come from? It would not have hurt if you covered what happened after Jesus roose from the dead. On the day after the Sabbath, Mary and a group of other women went to the tomb, to finish what was started. When the ladies got there, they discovered the tomb was open. This happened on the FIRST day of the week and it was originally called the Lord’s Day in honor of this truth.

Is this fact in the Scriptures, outside what I mentioned? No. There is more to the story than you may think. In time, there came a growing split between the early Christians and a need to distinguish themselves from practicioners of Judiasm. The Jews would worship on Saturday, the Seventh Day. The early Christians began a custom of public worship on Sunday, the FIRST day of the week. It is not the only thing.

The sad truth about traditions is that one can lose sight on why it’s being done and a failure to look deeper. It would not surprise me, if the early Churh did res on the Sabbath; however, public worship was on Sunday.

    • Hey Barry,

I hope you were able to receive my free eBook about the Sabbath as it has already addressed all your questions and points in that book.

Just to give you a quick answer.

      1. So, where did the idea of Sunday come from?

It came from men and not God. Even if you read the whole Scripture, you won’t find any indication that the Sabbath was transferred to Sunday.

      2. It would not have hurt if you covered what happened after Jesus roose from the dead. On the day after the Sabbath, Mary and a group of other women went to the tomb, to finish what was started. When the ladies got there, they discovered the tomb was open.

The tomb was only discovered to be empty on Sunday but it doesn’t mean that the Messiah rose on Sunday. In fact, a careful study of the Scripture will tell you that He rose on Saturday just before sunset. I have written a full blog about this here: https://becomingchristians.com/2021/03/17/the-shocking-truth-about-jesus-resurrection-free-book/

      3. This happened on the FIRST day of the week and it was originally called the Lord’s Day in honor of this truth.

Who told you that the Lord’s Day is Sunday? Let us not deceive ourselves. You won’t find that in the Scripture. If you want to know the truth, here’s a blog I have written about this topic: https://becomingchristians.com/sabbath-day/is-sunday-the-lords-day/

      4. Is this fact in the Scriptures, outside what I mentioned? No. There is more to the story than you may think. The truth is that the false church worship on Sunday. Keeping the Sabbath isn’t simply Judaism. Keeping the Sabbath is keeping the Word of God. The early Christians still kept the Sabbath on Saturday. Get your facts straight. The people who keep Sunday were the ones who started a counterfeit church inspired by paganism and syncretism.

      5. The sad truth about traditions is that one can lose sight on why it’s being done and a failure to look deeper. It would not surprise me, if the early Churh did res on the Sabbath; however, public worship was on Sunday.

Do you know what is really sad? It is when people twist the word of God to follow the traditions of men. Wake up and know the truth. Why would you keep Sunday when the Bible plainly tells that the seventh day is the Sabbath?

Yahshua or Jesus Christ kept the Sabbath. His Apostles kept the Sabbath. The servants of God kept the Sabbath. The early church kept the Sabbath. So, why would you keep Sunday?

May these words of the Messiah wake us up to the truth:

7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ” Matthew 15:7-9
