Where do you get your value?

There are a lot of wrong places where people get their value.

Some get their value from the material possessions they have. Some get it from their work. Some get it from their money. Some get it from the approval of people.

However, if you get your value from any of those, you will soon realize how things can easily change and you’ll find yourself worthless.

Why? Because people change. Things change. Situations change.

But do you know what doesn’t change?

God.

That’s why if you ever decide to know where you should get your value, it should be from our Creator. He alone knows our true value.

He created us. He loves us. He cares for us.

No matter what happens, even after you have lost everything and everyone, you will never lose your value if you base it on the value God has given you.

So, don’t base your value on things, people, and situations.

Base your value on how God sees you.

Accept the harsh truths of life

Life is unfair. Life is full of problems. Life comes with so many unexpected twists and turns. To top it all, pain is part of life.

A lot of people live their lives doing their best to avoid problems and pain. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. However, we must accept the fact that life is just like that. No matter what you do, there are things that are just beyond your control and these things will bring you pain and suffering.

That’s just the fact of life.

The sooner you accept that, the earlier you become more prepared and even happier.

Why?

Because you will have a realistic perception of life. You become optimistic, but at the same time, realistic. Like what they said, “You expect for the best and prepare for the worst.”

The Apostle Peter wrote:

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy (1 Peter 4:12-13).

Peter was saying that don’t be surprised when bad things happen because that is just how life is. As long as we are living in this evil world, we are going to experience bad things.

However, at the same time, Peter beseech us to rejoice because we have become partakers of Christ’s suffering and we will be even more blessed once His glory is revealed.

One Bible Question

What is your greatest passion?

A lot of people has their own passion in life. Some love to climb mountains. Some love to travel the world. Some love to teach, discover new scientific breakthroughs, save the environment, go to the moon, die for their country, serve people, and the list just goes on and on.

However, the big question is this:

Is your passion in line with the passion given to you by God?

Here’s what our passion should be. Yahshua or Jesus Christ said in Matthew 22:37

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

That should be our greatest passion!

We must and should love Yahweh with not just a portion of our whole being. Not just 75%, 85%, or 90%. But we must love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind. In short, 100%!

Nothing should hold us back.

We must love Him all out!

Now, that is what I call the greatest passion.
