321 Insights: Here’s how to make the right decision the godly way!

In this 321 Insights, learn more about decision-making, fasting, Jesus, the Bible, and relationships.

Hey friends!

I hope you’re all doing well.

It’s time once again for our 321 Insights where I share 3 blogs, 2 Lessons, and 1 Bible questions.

3 blogs:

  1. Why you should fast and how to make it a habit
  2. How to make the right decisions — the Biblical way!
  3. No, Jesus didn’t have long hair: here’s why

2 Lessons:

Lesson no. 1: Stop worrying

I once read this quote:

“Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere.”

I believe worrying doesn’t do you much any good.

In fact, it stressed you out.

Not only that, but most of the things you worry about don’t even happen.

So, why do we still do it?

Well, it is because most of the time, we lack faith.

Instead of worrying, what must we do?

1 Peter 5:7 tells us:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

Isn’t it great to have a Heavenly Father who deeply cares about us and that He wants us to bring all our worries to Him?

So, be at peace.

Surrender all your worries to the Great and Living Creator of this vast universe.

Let Him handle what you can’t handle.

When you do, that’s when you will achieve a less anxious life and a more blessed day.

(If you want to learn more about overcoming anxiety and living a more peaceful life, I recommend the book of Max Lucado, “Anxious for Nothing.” Check it out here.)

Lesson no. 2: Let the Word of God change you

It is sad how so many people today don’t believe the word of God anymore.

Some who actually read the Bible don’t even practice what it says.

What’s more depressing is that there is an increasing number of people who try to change the Bible to conform to the things they want to believe.

Don’t be among these people.

The Bible clearly tells us in Hebrews 4:12:

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

So, don’t try to change the scripture.

Instead, let the scripture change you.

1 Bible Question

“Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9)

This was the question of Cain when God asked him where his brother Abel was.

Obviously, Cain was asking this out of deceitfulness, anger, and apathy.

After murdering his brother, Cain didn’t feel any remorse.

However, the question of Cain should all make us stop and ponder:

Are we being a brother’s keeper?

Do we care about our brothers and sisters when they are in trouble?

When they are sick, do we visit them?

When they are grieving, do we comfort them?

When they need our help, do we come to the rescue?

Or are we like Cain who didn’t care — who turned a blind eye and forsook his duty to be a brother’s keeper to Abel?

I hope you choose the better part.

Be your brother’s keeper.

Final words

That’s it for me!

I hope you learned a lot of things today. 🙂

All the best and see you all next week!

Joshua

  1. I read your blog about Jesus and long hair. I don’t understand it was also believed that Jesus had taken the pledge of a Nazarene. And according to the Old Testament they were not allowed to cut their hair. Do you have any more information about this.

    • Hi A Christian Dad,

Nowhere in the Bible we can read that Jesus or Yahshua made a Nazarene vow. What the Bible only says is that He lived in Nazareth.

I hope this answered your question and thank you for asking. 🙂

      Regards,
      Joshua
