How your core belief can limit or achieve your full potential

1. Avoid arguing with someone online

It is almost always that an online argument will end up useless and futile.

The main reason is that the majority of opinions you read on the Internet, especially on social media are NOT based on facts, but feelings.

The more you argue with them, the more they’ll hold on to their emotions just to prove you wrong.

So, what do you do instead?

Follow the advice of Paul in Romans 12:18:

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

2. Don’t get distracted from your life’s purpose

Do you know the main strategy of circus performers when they tame a lion or any wild beast? If you don’t, I’ll give you a clue. Aside from a whip, what do they hold in their other hand?

Yes, a chair.

Ever wondered why of all possible objects, a lion tamer uses a chair? While yes, it’s a good way to defend yourself, the real reason is because of the four feet of the chair.

Every time the lion tamer brings the chair near the lion’s face, the animal would get distracted by the four feet of the chair. In confusion and distraction, the lion chooses to stay put and wait instead of attacking the man holding the chair.

Are you like the lion? Sometimes, we are.

In fact, because of so many distractions in our lives, we end up accomplishing too little. Worst of all, this world is filled with so many distractions to prevent us from doing the more important things in our lives.

The Bible tells us what these distractions are:

DO NOT LOVE THE WORLD or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:15-17).

These are the things that can easily knock us out of our Christian race. Don’t let the distractions of this world prevent you from fulfilling your God-given purpose.

1 Bible Question

“Then the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying, “Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:26-27)

God can do awesome things — things that we humans can never do. What is impossible for us is possible for God.

So, stop solving your problems on your own. If you feel overwhelmed with problems, stressed out with so much work, and tired of living this life, surrender everything to God. He will do the things that you can’t.
