321 Insights: The Biblical Meaning of Friendship

Hello everyone! Thanks for patiently waiting for our weekly 321 Insights. I apologize for the delay. It’s been so busy lately in my day job. Nevertheless, it’s better late, than never, right? 🙂

So, let me share with you today 3 blogs, 2 lessons, and 1 Bible question.

What does the Bible say about friendship?

Friendship is a gift from God. However, like any other gift, we can abuse and misuse it. Thus, it is important for us to learn how God intends friendship should be, how to be a friend, and how to properly use it for the good. (Read the full blog here.)

Glory Days By Max Lucado Book Review

I just finished reading an amazing book by Max Lucado. You probably have heard about him as he has also written a lot of Christian books. After reading Glory Days, you will never see the Book of Joshua in the same way again. You can read my full review here as I also included a summary and book quotes.

Why we need good, godly fathers

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.7 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. The number is even bigger if you consider other countries. What a sad state of the family we have right now.

In line with this, I would like to share with you a video blog made by my friend, Daniel. In this video, let us learn why a Father’s role in the family is crucial not just for the children, but to the whole civilization!

Lesson no. 1:

If there’s one debt that we all should have, it should be this:

“Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law” (Romans 13:8).

You see, all of us ought to love one another. It is a debt we all should pay. It is our undeniable duty to love one another.

And guess what? This debt is something we can NEVER repay. It is something that we should continually do without even thinking of stopping!

Lesson no. 2:

God created sex. It is His gift to be shared properly within the context of marriage. Sadly, in this world we live in, sex has been perverted.

People have even used the month of June and called it the Pride Month. Not only that, but they have also hijacked God’s loving symbol of promise and used it as their symbol of pride – the rainbow.

God didn’t intend people to choose what sexual orientation they should have. It is assigned to us right at birth. Becoming what we are not intended to be is an insult to the One who created us.

What’s sadder right now is that so-called Christians are now condoning homosexuality. They have approved of this abominable sin. Yes, it’s not the worst of all sins, but it is nevertheless a sin for us to repent of, just like other sins that have plagued Christianity today.

1 Bible Question

A lot of people are living this life with the ultimate goal of being rich. However, our Messiah asked us an important question:

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul (Mark 8:36)?”

In the final analysis, you will not be remembered for what you have gained but for what you have given.

You won’t be judged by God by how much money you have in the bank, but by how much godly character you have built.

Put your priorities straight.

Put God first.
