How Much Do You Know Your Heavenly Father?

Featured article for the week: The Father You Have Sadly Forgotten

While waiting for my son in our school’s lobby, there were two preachers who approached one of the mothers in the room.

The discussion started with who Christ is. However, there’s one question that the preacher asked the mother that really struck me.

He asked, “Who is the Father of Jesus Christ?

I was amazed by the mother’s answer. She wasn’t even sure who the Father of Christ was.

So, after a few seconds of hesitation, she finally answered, “Joseph.”

The two preachers then explained that he is only the foster father, but it is God the Father who dwells in His Heavenly Throne.

The mother then explained that she never knew that. All this time, she only knew about Joseph.

I mean, here’s a person who claims to be a Christian and yet, she doesn’t know the Father.

That makes me sad and concerned at the same time.

I mean, how many people are like this mother? How many people don’t know about the Father?

There’s no doubt; Christianity is too focused on Jesus Christ (whose real name is Yahshua).

Now, I’m not saying that it is not proper for us to worship Christ. However, it is just sad that the majority of Christians today only know God the Father at a very superficial level.

How about you? How much do you know about the Father?

Do you know what His role is in fulfilling the plan of salvation? Do you know who He is in the past, in the present, and in the future? Do you know what active role He is doing right now for you? Do you know how much He loves you and how much He sacrificed just to offer you eternal life?

I know these are deep topics and it takes a lot of Bible study to learn more about God the Father.

And I believe this is an IMPORTANT topic that you should study more often.

Why?

Here’s why…

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).

Your salvation, the receiving eternal life, depends on whether you know the Father or not.

That’s how important it is to know God the Father.

This is a huge topic and so, I highly recommend that you read, “The Father You Have Sadly Forgotten.” It’s an article I wrote as a feature article on Father’s Day.

With Father’s Day fast approaching, I think it is timely for us to remember our Heavenly Father as well.

So, if you want to learn more, please read “The Father You Have Sadly Forgotten.” Click here to read the article.

That’s it for me!
